Monday, time for an Easter Egg Hunt.

Sweetie at home.
Weekend is over. What a great weekend we had. Tried something new and it worked out. Our outing to the Volunteer's Recondition dinner was a success for one reason only. Sweetie had a small episode of sundowners and the rest of the evening, she was a joy to be with. The time with old friends and the greetings we received did my heart well.

Sunday was a get out and do something, so we went to the zoo. Little side note, I dropped my card holder in the parking lot. As soon as I realized what happened, headed for the exit. On the way out, I heard my name on the loudspeaker, looked and the booth attendee was calling me. A nice lady had found my carrier and was surrendering it to him. What a surprise and a blessing.

It was a cool day, and the animals were out and walking about. We went through the monkey and gorilla area. If you ever watched the movie Madagascar, and the scenes of the characters in the zoo, well, that is truly make believe. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the zoo, and the animals there. But, because of the conditions we now live in, I can relate to the same old thing day after day.

Life can be monotonous and boring if I don't find at least one Easter Egg in it. Knowing, for example, at the mall, there is a shoe store that has little children's shoes on display. Some that have glitter on them, some cute colors, you know what I mean. When we go by, I stop and point out the shoes to Sweetie. She always get a smile and jabbers on about them. They are always new to her. That is what I mean about finding some Easter Eggs. Then there are the non verbal noises that we make to each other, or the winking of the eye, my little made up songs and poems. Those are Easter Eggs that can be found when I go on my Easter Egg hunt.

Now that the days are getting warmer, water is going to be a big thing. Getting her to drink more of it is going to be a quest this year. Dehydration is more than just a mental inhibitor, it is a valuable tool in the waste disposal area of living. I've found that cereal helps and so does water. So, this summer, we may have cereal more than once a day. You know it makes a real easy dinner. Food is food and when you eat shouldn't be regulated by the time of day. Face it, a full tummy is a good feeling no matter what it is full of. Ice cream or cereal, the stomach doesn't care.

It seems like the first morning of Daylight Savings, in reality, it isn't. What it is is the first morning that I'll be waking Sweetie up early because it is a Daycare morning. Which means that it is also my golf day. I'm taking a couple of lessons this month in hopes of improving my game some.

Next month is a get away times. I don't normally ask this, but, could some of you pray for Sweetie, to help her to prepare her for my going away. I know it will be extra tough for her. I'm really working on her to get attached to Teddy, the cat. We went to the pet store and got him a collar and a tag for it. It says "I'm Teddy" and on the backside it has "My person is Sweetie" with my phone number on it. So, if she ever looses Teddy, we can find it, or if she wanders with Teddy, and is found by someone, they have a number to call.

Well, its time. Time to head on down the Road to Dementia Town. Who knows what the day has waiting for Sweetie and me, for each moment is a mystery waiting to be opened and see what is inside. Will there be Easter Eggs, already made and colored or will there be a pot, water, eggs, and colors? It doesn't matter, only the rewards of finding them. Those are the memories of the Easter Egg hunt. Gotta go, I can hear my Driver calling me. So, cross trainers on. Have anyone of you seen my cool sunglasses? Never mind, I see my Driver has them and is waving at me to get a move on. He wants to get going, showing off how shinny the car is today. You can't miss us, we're the ones going down the road with our Shinny Side Up. Hey, look, there is someone else with their Shinny Side Up, is that YOU? See you on the road. God Bless.

A fitting farewell.
