I'm the person she trust.

Back at the zoo.

As we were driving back home, I turned to Sweetie and said, "I've had a real good day with you today." and she smiled. That just about does it, the summary at the beginning.

We had a busy day, busier than normal, yet at the same time a normal day. Up, breakfast, golf, home for lunch, off to the zoo, and then doing some grocery shopping, then home. Made dinner, and then bed time. Doesn't sound much like a day to write home about and at the same time, for us, it was a day out of the house, busy, and at the end, where did the day go.

At the zoo, Sweetie did get tired and we had to sit down for awhile. Which was nice. We have a big bag of fish food, which is also bird food, and I took a container full of it. I just enjoy sharing it with the kiddies. With their mom's approval, I offer the children an opportunity to get a handful and feed the ducks. It is feed down syndrome. I give the kids some, and then they give the ducks some, everyone is happy, and the mom's don't have to keep digging for quarters to feed the food vending machine. If just for a short time, everyone benefits.

I'm returning to giving Sweetie her CBD oil again. Not as often as before, once in the morning, and again around 3 in the afternoon. She does well with those two doses, and she seems to track well.

"Track well", a term I have decided to use to describe Sweetie's ability to know her surroundings and who I am. As of now, I'm the person she trust, and that is a big deal. She no longer helps with doing the dishes. What we are doing now is I wash and dry, give the dish to her and help her put it away. It works for both of us, she is with me, and I'm helping her help. Smiles all around.

And there He is, with the biggest smile of them all, Driver. Yep that was a big Easter Egg moment. He tells me to keep her busy as much as I can, they are building a castle of memories. Landmarks that I can see on our Drive to Dementia Town. Keeping our Shiny Side Up. Can you see your memory castle from the Road to Dementia Town? Keep looking, and Keep the Shiny Side Up. C ya, Love Ya, and God Bless.

A fitting farewell.
