Sweetie piped up.

Cute

She will never wear anything like this again. We are in jeans and sweets. No make up, and very short hair. Yet, in my mind, she is still this beautiful woman. I think this is at Easter Time and we were off to church. She looked so good, that I just had to take some pictures of her. Now, I am so glad I have them for it keeps the image of what she was like alive in my minds eye.

We went over to the son's house to celebrate #2's 12th birthday. DIL make a carrot cake and raspberry cream pie. We got a slice of both, and when asked how many forks we want, Sweetie piped up with 2. She still amazes me. Because we are so much together, and I think that she doesn't know stuff, she pops up with the right answers.

The second best part of this is the cake and pie. I thought I'd have to help her, and I did, but not as much as I thought I would. She devoured the cake and pie and without hesitation. Before I knew it, I was left holding an empty plate. We left after that, about an hour is all she can stand before she needs to get back to familiar surroundings.

We went to the mall for a small walk, home, and had applesauce for dinner. The cake and pie weighted heavy on my stomach. We retired soon after that. It was a good day all in all.

I wonder what today is going to bring, and even if I ask my Driver what I need to prepare for, He never tells me. I can plan the day, the repetition of events like every Monday, and within those plans are Easter Eggs to be found. He is always busy, waiting for me to discover His hand in our lives, for He knows His plans are for the good, not the bad. So, I trust and ride with Him. As we caravan down the Road to Dementia Town, you know that bright spot on the road where we Keep our Shiny Sides Up. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.

A fitting farewell.

When we were young. I've been rummaging around and found this picture of Sweetie and me. We had been married for about a year when this...
