Joy from these memories.

Us.

We had a fairly good day yesterday. Even played a few extra holes of golf.

Had received the renewal notice to get Tweetie's registration renewed with a smog test, so that gave me a reason to get the corvette out. Of course, I had to get her hot before the test. So we took a short run up the freeway. Needless to say, it was fun to get her ready for the test and she passed with flying colors.

The interesting thing was, I took the registration to one of those express MVD's. They wanted me to wait 45-1 hour. I said no, and headed for the state run MVD. I hit it at a slow time, for we were in and out in a flash. For the first time, and saved myself an extra fee.

I kept Sweetie busy from morning to night. She had a hard time getting up. One of those unsteady waking's mornings. She seems more confused each and every morning. She is still recognizing me as someone kind and helpful to her, she has lost all idea of who I am, and I think of who she is also.

We got bananas last time we went shopping. I've started adding them to our cereal to see how they will be received. So far, so good. For whatever the reason, she now stops eating about half way through her bowel, and walks away to a different chair, and then returns to finish, as if she didn't start in the first place.

Dinner was different also, I cooked up a couple of hamburger patties, usually I only cook one, and split it. This time I gave her a whole one, just to see what she how much she would eat. She at the whole patty and some beans and tatter tots. A little increase in appetite is a good thing.

The good things, that is what my Driver is teaching me. To seek out and find the good things everyday. I call them Easter Eggs, Those surprises that don't seem like much when they happen, yet when you look back, they become special. He is showing me how to enjoy these days with Sweetie, for there are going to be storms and I'll need the joy from these memories to keep me strong as I care for her. They can be banners streaming from the car as we travel down the Road to Dementia Town, Keeping our Shiny Sides Up. C'ya, Luv ya, and God Bless.

A fitting farewell.
