On the golf course, days gone bye.
This was at least 2 years ago. Back when Sweetie could remember what a round of golf was. She is tending the pin, which is something she doesn't do now, or even knows what that term means.
I miss those days when we could have somewhat somewhat of a conversation or could put a phone up to her and she would talk into it. As it is with everything, looking back makes more sense then it does today.
Wednesday
With a smile and twinkle eyes, she woke up when I came into the room. It seems that I always ask, "Do you know me?" and then I will introduce myself to her and tell her that I'm the one that cares for her needs. Then the process begins.
She didn't want to get out of bed, so I left her there, and went to the kitchen to make breakfast for us. It was my third attempt to get her out of bed that was successful. It was because of time restraints that I made her get up and out of bed.
After breakfast, she wanted to go back to bed, and because there was time to kill, I let her. It was the right decision. At the right time, I got her up, she was more pleasant this time when I got her up the first time. Her CBD had time to kick in. Into the car and off to the VA. All went well, and then we headed home.
After lunch, while washing her hands, I noticed her fingers on her right hand were blue. It worried me, so I called the doctors and got an appointment that day. We had stats taken, an EKG, and it seems that she is OK. Everything seems fine, even the color in her hand had returned. The doctor wanted to take a blood draw, and I said no to that. I know my Sweetie, and she would just freak out at any attempt to do that. And after the fighting, and if successful or not, I'd pay an emotional price for it.
When we got home, did some work in the back yard, with Sweetie helping me so she would feel part of our world again. Dinner and some TV couch and snuggling time, made for the perfect ending of a great Easter Egg day.
Driver was glad that we didn't make too big of a mess in the car yesterday, so Driver was happy that He didn't have too much to clean, for tomorrow is coming, and getting into a clean car is important. Getting the debris from yesterday out makes for a good start on today. As we travel down the Road to Dementia Town, Keeping our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv ya, and God Bless.
