Theme: Love always win.
"No matter what." That is what Sweetie used to say. "Doing right is doing right, no matter what. Regardless of feelings, inconvenience, or cost.". Was she a prophetess or what? Or was she just putting into words her world beliefs.
I think she was an example of her own beliefs. She would go out of her way to help, to say a good word, or to do a good deed. Now it is my turn.
For me to do that which is right is what I'm doing now. I don't have to look very hard or long to find it. It is in the other bedroom as we speak. I have a name for my good deed, and it is Sweetie.
I have a poster on my wall that my oldest daughter gave me many, many years ago. It is of a man in Arab dress, sitting under a tree, with a scroll in his hand. Under is Psalm 1:1-3. "Blessed is the man..." At first all you see is the man and the scroll. Hidden in the trees and background is a face. The face of the Lord, looking down and smiling. You have to look for the face, and once you see it, you can't forget He's there.
Thursday
This is the day I call my friend in Texas and we share what is going one with our lives. We also have a small tele-bible study. Because of Sweetie's new getting up time, I watch her carefully. She didn't disappoint me. She was up and moving, so we had to cut our time short.
Wet and cold, we made our way to the bathroom to get our day started. Afterword, we had breakfast. I am happy she is eating more these days for two reasons. Of course it is better for her, and second it takes her longer to finish, so I have some free time to get things done.
Did a load of laundry because we were running out of clean pee sheets. I'm leaving the rest for my lady. She told me she needs things to do, so if I have anything that she can do, just leave it. Makes it easy for me.
Getting Sweetie in and out of the car is becoming a challenge. I now let her get in, and buckle her in with her seat belt. Now it is getting out of the car is the area she is having difficulty with. A couple of times, she hasn't unbuckled herself, or when I do it, she still has her arm inside of the belt. Just another thing I have to be aware of. As of now, it is just once in awhile, which means as time goes on, it will be every time.
She is now forgetting when we pull into the garage, that we are home. And does she know "home" anymore?
What she knows is, I'm her safety person. When we get out of the car to do anything, she grabs my hand. We're like elephants holding on to each other's tails.
We finished part ll of our day as usual. Finished watching "War Room." and started "The Sound of Music." It should take us about 3 nights to go through it.
Bed time and asleep. A good day by all standards.
Even though we had a good day, there were some rough spots, and Driver did a great job avoiding the ugly parts of the road. We came close to some rough riding, Driver just navigated around it. That is just the way the Road to Dementia Town is, some smooth, some rough, just like life. As we travel, Keeping our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.
