My treasure comes with me.

Love never fails.

Faith, Hope and Love. The greatest of these is Love, for Love never fails. This is how I feel this morning. Love is the driving factor of my caring for Sweetie.

Love can do no wrong, love is what makes my world go round. Love is the food I eat, the air I breath, the light by which I see. Love is the joy where none can be found. Love gives, never takes.

That is the way I am today. Sure I get my way just because of the way Sweetie is, and at the same time, because I get my way now and then, she is still in the middle of me getting my way.

Marriage isn't one person going their way, and the other going the opposite way, and trying to stay happy being married. I've learned a lesson, and the best visual I can give you is this.

Imagine a cart with a fragile treasure on it. Then imagine two oxen pulling that cart. As long as they pull together, the treasure is safe and will grow to greater riches. It is when one of the oxen decides to go in a different direction then the other, the cart will be pulled off the road, and the treasure will be spilt onto the ground.

Then there is time to stop, retrieve the treasure, and start again. In my case, not only did I pull the cart off the road, my partner can no longer help with pulling the cart. In fact, she is now sitting on the cart with the treasure called marriage, becoming one in the treasure.
So, now wherever I go, my treasure comes with me.

Sunday

I couldn't get her up. I tried several times, and each time was harder. She was just plum worn out. Every time I'd go in, she was still sleeping. So, I gave in and let her sleep.

It was 11 in the morning when I went in to get her and she saw me and was happy to see me. I knew she was ready and it was easy to get her up.

Today is our shower and hair washing day, a day I look forward to. Into the shower, washing her down, feeling her against me, washing her gently, it was my way of making love to her all over again.

After that, we had our breakfast, and then sat down for some TV.

Seeing her in good spirits, we headed out for our daily walk about. The mall was alive with Sunday Shoppers, and we weaved our way around the levels. Saw an old working buddy of mine and was able to catch up with him and his wife. Our short conversation was enough for Sweetie get interested and was talking to them in her Dementiaies. They both smiled and nodded as she told them what was on her mind. She was radiant as she spoke. Never mind that we didn't understand a word, she got the attention, and she liked that.

Driver was on His game again. With only a slight change of not getting on the Road to Dementia Town as early as I thought we should have. It, as always, was the right thing to do. Once on the way, it was just a beautiful day. An easy day to Keep Our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.
