Waw wawwa waa.

She is my world.

How is it? That someone can, simply by being in the room, capture my attention so? Sweetie is that person. I am held captive by her presents. My world is wrapped up in caring for her.

To take me out of the equation isn't that easy either. We are one, quite inseparable and I know it. Even when I have my ladies come and sit with her, it isn't the same. They are not me, and I am not them. She knows who's who.

There are many things on my mind, and at the same time, there is only one thing that keeps subordinating all of them and that one thing is Sweetie. Everything swirls around her. She gives me purpose, she gives me love, she fills the voids within me.

Friday

Friday, it was like any other day. There wasn't any rush to do this or that, just the same program. Up, bathroom, dress, and out for breakfast.

I don't think she is getting very sound sleep lately. She seems to be moving more and more. Waking in the middle of the night to find her in different positions as she sleeps. The one that bothers me the most is when she has her legs up and is making a tent out of the blankets, or has pulled the blanket all about her and I can't get it away from her to cover her. With that in mind, I'm thinking that there are some stormy days ahead.

While we are on the course, I think she is getting tired easily. She tries to keep up and it drains her to the point, she just doesn't want to get out of the cart. Learning and observing all the time. She is a wonder, her ability to do what she still does is a wonder.

After the golf, again, to the mall for our walk about. Today, I started talking like Charlie Brown's teacher. Waw wawwa waa. She smiles, and picks up the conversation and returns my Waw wawa waa. We spent our whole walk about time Waa Waing each other. So much fun. Even so, I can see it in her eyes, she is running out of energy.

When we get home, she heads for the bedroom, and a nap. I make lunch, get her out to eat, and she goes right back, down of a nap.

I've mastered cooking rice, so while she was down, I cooked some up for dinner. Like to add the rice to the meat and veggies and re heat the rice. Sweetie likes it too, and that is another reason to make it that way. Cook enough rice to have it for two meals. Just adjusting our menu to her taste.

She napped for most of the afternoon, and I watched TV while she slept. I had some projects that I planned for, but lazy me, didn't do them.

It was dinner, a meeting, home for desert, TV and bed.

It was a good days travel. Done for the day, Driver had already found the place to stay for the night. Each day, a new direction, and each day and new ending. Some almost alike and then again, they are different. Driver smiles, we say out thanks for the day, and sleep over takes us. For we have been on the Road to Dementia Town and are ready, for we have been Keeping Our Shiny Side Up, C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.

Waaa waa waaa-ing through the mall! That made me laugh out loud! I can’t wait to try that with my mom. Thanks for the chuckle!

I'm still here. Still trying to check your blog everyday. And thankful that you're there. Yesterday was Mom's birthday, and realizing it's the last birthday you spend with someone was really really difficult. I'm supposed to go away on vacation next week and I'm having a hard time knowing that I need to rest but also knowing those will be days I'll never get back with my mom

A fitting farewell.

When we were young. I've been rummaging around and found this picture of Sweetie and me. We had been married for about a year when this...
