Love Always Wins.

Love always wins.

Isn't that the way it should be? Love always wins. From the begging of time, no matter how long it takes, love always wins. Even when there are times when you think it won't, it can't, and shouldn't, love has a way of sneaking in, seeping in, easing in, and winning.

All of the great love stories have those moments when it seems like love is defeated and there isn't anyway for love to win, yet it does.

Great love movies do the same. From "The Princess Bride" to "The West Side Story". They are all the same, I'm sure you can add some of your favorite love movies to this list. Mine is short, simply because there are so many. I love some of the romantic comedies, such as "You've got Mail", or the other movie, "Sleepless in Seattle", and what is the way the movie ends? Love always win.

So, you see, what we are going through is the dark times in the love movies, where there is doubt as to how they will be lovers in the end. I know that this movie will have an intermission when we will be separated for a time, and then rejoined when I go to be with her.

Thursday

She just doesn't want to get up. When I came into the room, she was smiling, which quickly got shut off when I told her it was time to get up. With some difficulty, I got her up.

This is the first morning that I will let her just sit on the potty before we get her into the shower. We did all the other stuff first, then waited. We sat, and sat, and nothing, which is what I was expecting. I've got to get her used to sitting first, then acting later. Time will tell.

This morning is our Bible study, and Sweetie isn't fully into going. I won't be put off, so here we go. She isn't too fond of going, but once we were there she was fine. She even enjoyed our time there.

Last week, the church was closed, and it was just as I thought. Pastor was out of town and everyone else knew it. Because they didn't have anyway of letting me know, I showed up to a locked up building. I told them not to worry, I understood.

Played golf, and home for a lunch and nap. I have to return to the dentist for some adjustment on the crown. It is sitting higher and needs to be filed down. This also gives me another opportunity to drive Tweety.

All goes well at the dentist, and off we go to the mall. Time for our walk about.

When we get to the parking lot, a young lady took out her phone and was taking a picture of the car. I asked if she'd like to see the inside. She was so excited. Told me her boyfriend would just love to have one of these. Opened the door, and her friend made a video of her getting in and out of Tweety. I think I made her and her girlfriend's day.

Sweetie was again, up as we walked the mall, talking, playing with me, and we laughed.

It was in the evening that she was worn out, and became cranky. It wasn't the best ending of the day. I had a meeting to go to, so she stayed in her nest while I went to my meeting.

She had bundled up the blankets and pillows, a sign of not being happy. Got her to take some happy medicine, remade the bed, and she went right back to it. The good thing was she went to sleep this time. Me, I watched a little TV and then joined her.

This day was a mixture of good and bumpy road sections. It seems that the Road to Dementia Town, has potions that are under construction. Driver sometimes has to wait as the other cars work their way through the detours. Detours or not, we always try to Keep our Shiny Side Up, no matter what. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.  Arthur.

I'm glad you had a good day. I still check in every day and know that I am thinking about you and praying for you. The hospice nurse came again today and Mom is about the same. So now we are just waiting. It gets kind of difficulty or sometimes. Yesterday it turns out we found out we have to put in a new furnace and a possible kitchen remodel. I think it's going to be a very expensive here.

A fitting farewell.

When we were young. I've been rummaging around and found this picture of Sweetie and me. We had been married for about a year when this...
