With a balloon on my shoulder.
As I ponder the day, I wait for the morning to end. The mornings are my special time with Sweetie, and I don't want to give them up to anyone. I am selfish like that with her. Sometimes, even to the point that when it comes to taking care of her, I think I have all the answers, that is when I find out I don't.
How is it, that #1 caregiver can get her to sit on the potty and have a BM? I don't do that. For me it is get in, check her pullups, do what I need to do, and get out. #1 has her sitting on the potty for up to a half hour to get her to go. How does she do that? Next time she is here, I'll ask.
As for me, like I said, it is get in, get done, and out. My desire is I find the evidence of the body working, so all I have to do is the clean up work. There are more mysteries to solve.
Saturday
It is my second day of freedom, for #1 caregiver is on her way.
So, I get Sweetie up, get her moving, cleaned and fed before #1 shows up. This is something that I feel I have to get done. Also, it is my way of connecting with Sweetie each and everyday.
Sweetie is still bound up, so this morning I'll give her some Milk of Magnesium to see if we can kick start her neither regions.
#1 is here, and time for me to go. Out to the golf course, I go.
The day is a great fall day. Wispy clouds, a breeze that says "Fall is in the air." Warm enough to not wear a sweater, yet you could and look very fashionable. Great golf day.
Meet up with one of the men I played with yesterday, and he has his wife with him. Nice couple, we played well together, had some good conversation, and just an enjoyable day.
He wanted to see Tweety, so after the game, I took them to her. Showed her off, took some pictures, and I was enjoying the looks on their faces.
After, I got a surprise, when I called a friend of mine to see if he was home. When I dialed his number, Tweety pick up the call, and I was talking hands free. Amazing, anyway, he was home, and went over to show off Tweety.
This is my blind friend. I have to bring this out, for I've know him for over 20 years, and was his chauffeur for about 5 years. As he slowly lost his sight, he need transportation, and the powers to be set me up, plus I was willing, so it was a good fit. We worked well together, developed a friendship that now goes on when the need to be together doesn't exist.
He is such a good friend, that when we don't talk, and one of us calls the other, it is "I was thinking about calling you." And away we go, the conversation is one.
Anyway, we take Tweety out, get a car wash done, and a ride to show him what she can do. He was impressed. We took some pictures of him in the drivers seat, so he can send them to some of his other friends. We laughed about it.
Back home, #1 tells me that she got Sweetie to sit on the potty with results. Yea! And I wonder how does she do that. Oh well, glad she got some action. With the Milk of Magnesium, there should be more action to come for the next couple of days.
Got tired of cooking, so we went to KFC and got a bucket of legs and thighs, mac and cheese, and cold slaw. When we got home, cut up some for Sweetie, mixed in the mac and cheese and cold slaw for her, feed her first, then had my dinner. So nice to not cook, and I just love KFC. We have left overs for another meal or two.
As we watched the sun go down, Driver is pulling in the parking lot of the place for the night. Dinner done, rested and relaxed, we finish our day of getting closer to our destination. Just another day on the Road to Dementia Town. Driving down the road, Keeping our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless. Arthur.
