What God's love can do.

At Knott's carousel.

Easter Eggs are difficult to see when they are right in my face. Yesterday, when we arrived at the golf course, one of the groundkeepers  we had talked to before, approached us and was tell me how much he enjoys watching the way I treat Sweetie. So much, that he wanted us to meet his girlfriend. She came over and told me how much I impressed her fellow, that he talks about us all the time.

That same day, we ended up team up with a young couple and at the last hole, the young lady told me how much she enjoyed the way I was taking care of Sweetie. I told them that this is what 34 years of marriage looks like.

It wasn't until I sat down to write this morning to realize the incredible impact that we are having on younger couples. We are modeling a love that is so strong that it shines through for all to see. Until now, I just thought I was doing what I wanted to do, play golf. Never ever thought that we are now a true example of what God's love can do.

We are back to being careful in the evening. Mr. Sundowner is knocking at the door. For whatever the reason, Sweetie is having a hard time in the evenings. Last night, when I watched her getting upset and wondering around the house, getting worked up, I headed for the Hemp Oil. I now call it her balancing medicine, and tell her it helps keep her balanced so she doesn't fall. For whatever the reason, she seems to understand and takes the Hemp Oil. It wasn't until I put some Stress Relief lotion on her that she settled down. We had a great evening after that.

I think Driver is so sneaky sometimes. Like the people at the golf course, they were messengers from Him. They spoke words of encouragement to my heart, so much so I know He had to have sent them. They were what I needed to hear. Encouragement is a off ramp that we can take as we travel with our Shiny Side Up on the Road to Dementia Town.  If you need some encouragement, we'll slow down so you can catch up with us as we all caravan down the Road to Dementia Town, Keeping our Shiny Sides up. C'ya, Luv ya, and God Bless.

A fitting farewell.

When we were young. I've been rummaging around and found this picture of Sweetie and me. We had been married for about a year when this...
