Easter many years ago.
Easter, He has Risen. The day that Hope Springs eternal. We loved Easter as a couple, that great getting up morning, and putting on our Easter best. O how things have changed. In a little while, I'm going to turn on TV and watch 2 hours of church services. I will be hoping to hear three different messages on Easter. I will be also getting Sweetie up for at least one of them.
If you haven't noticed, I try to find the good with what we are going through, and because of that attitude, I believe that affects the way I treat Sweetie, and how she responds to me.
Saturday
Sweetie slept upstairs in our bed. The one thing that I worried about, happened. She wet the bed, and because there wasn't a pee sheet between her and the mattress, it was wet. Along with the wet, she had a bowel movement. One that I've been waiting on. So, into the bathroom, and took care of business.
Got her cleaned up, stripped the bed, and downstairs, we had our breakfast. So far, so good. After Breakfast, she was back to bed for a nap.
It was my day off, so when the caregiver arrived, I was off to the golf course. Even with me being freed for those precious hours, I'm not. She is on my mind, not in the for front, but with me. I feel very fortunate to have my lady. What a find! But, then again, I also believe in Blessed Appointments. When I think about it, those happen stances just aren't by chance. Someone else is doing the driving.
Because she works for a Respite company, she is a great resource for other stuff. Like, I told her I am planning a trip to California for an Angel game for my birthday, and we talked on what is available for caring for Sweetie. Came up with some great ideas.
While I was gone, Sweetie had another BM, and she said it was a good size one. and she also gave her a shower afterwards, and then back to bed.
One of the things I've noticed is Sweetie's attitude after she has a BM, she seems to be happy again. That is how we finished our day. She was in a good mood. She even expressed her desire for me to sleep with her. So, we're back sleeping together.
Today is Driver's Sunrise morning. I know He will be all dressed in light, and ready to spend a good day with us. We were blessed yesterday, and because today is Easter, I won't be surprised by finding at least one Easter Egg today. I'm full of eager anticipation for this day, the Day my Diver has made, so, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Singing Psalms and Praises as we travel down the Road to Dementia Town, especially today, Keeping our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv ya, and God Bless.
