Testing my skills of deduction.

A refreshing pool along the way.

This is not a pool of water you find everyday. It is early spring, when this picture was taken. There were patches of snow along the way, and as you know, when the snow melts, the water starts, and these refreshing pools develop. Only to disappear in the summer and reappear again during the spring melt.

The joy of being among nature, the exhaustion of the hike, the comradery with the fellow hikers is what I would call a close to perfect day. What I would give to be doing those hikes again.

I feel that by the time these opportunities come about, I'll be too old to enjoy hiking again. Then again, if I keep in good shape, age may not be a factor. Only time will tell.

Friday

The only thing I have to worry about this morning is getting to the golf course on time. With Sweetie not as willing to get up these days, and wanting her to sit on the potty, it is time for her day to begin.

Going slow, and gently, I get her up and moving. In the bathroom we go. She is cooperative this morning, and we get done that which needs to be done with.

She has been doing some different behavior patterns lately. Like, she will put her toast in the bowl with her cereal, or take the spoon and use it to drink the milk from the glass. Nothing dangerous, just watching her, I can see that she is slowly sinking into not knowing how to eat or what to use when eating. I've thought about trying to correct her behavior, and then, if she isn't making a mess and is still eating, why try? Especially when the object is to get her to eat, not correct her table manners.

Breakfast done, and out to the car, and off we go. When we get into the pro shop, there is a line, and Sweetie isn't good waiting in line. So, with a good paying attention to her, I talk her way through the waiting period to the cashier. As we wait, my golf partner shows up, and we pay for and move out at the same time. A good sign. The round went well, I shot a 4 over, missing a couple of birdies when my ball rimmed the cup and didn't go in. Over all, I was very please with my game, and my putting is slowly getting better.

As to the rest of the day, we got home, and stayed there until the evening. Had a meeting to go to. I also had to get some paperwork signed by our secretary. Still trying to get on the checking account and this is one more step closer.

Left early, because I didn't check Sweetie before we left the house, and by the time we started the meeting she was wet. I had to get her home and changed.

Home we went, changed and sat down to watch TV some more. Found "Murder she wrote" on one of the free streaming channels, so we are now watching Jessica Fletcher solve those tricky murder mysteries. I like to see if I can figure out the "who done it" before the end. Testing my skills of deduction.

With the sun going down, and Driver is turning on the lights, looking for a place to spend the night, we come to the end of another day spent on the Road to Dementia Town. With both of us spent, Keeping Our Shiny Side Up, we drift off to sleep. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless.   Arthur.

A fitting farewell.

When we were young. I've been rummaging around and found this picture of Sweetie and me. We had been married for about a year when this...
