Twisty, turning route.

Birthday #77

Today is her birthday, and it is also her birthday buddy birthday. Our youngest grandson turns 8 today. To my chagrin, I forgot that she shared the day with him.

The other part is, I did put it on my yahoo calendar as a reminder the day before, which doesn't work for me, so I did change it to a week before. Tough to have a birthday so close after Christmas, and with me directing all of my attention on Sweetie, it is easy for me to slip up.

My plan to make it up to him, is the next time we come over in the 'Vette, I'm going to take him for a ride. The first one in the family to take a ride in Tweetie. He didn't get to go in the my other Tweetie, so this will be special for him, I hope.

Thursday

Bible Study and lunch with the boys, and then a meeting later tonight. We have a busy schedule for the day.

Getting Sweetie up is our normal reinactment for the morning before. I try to get her mind cleared some by giving some Happy Medicine. Leave her alone, while I feed the parakeet, set up her breakfast, and then return.

She seems eager to get out of bed. It is when I take the cover off of her, everything changes, and she doesn't want to move. I've learned that she will fight harder to stay in bed if I let her. I don't and up she comes.

Holding and hugging her, I wait until she is ready to take her first steps to the bathroom. Again, she is wet, with some signs of a movement. A small one, and that is better than none. More prune juice is needed.

She is up at the table and diving into her fruit cocktail, and I'd better get her cereal quickly, because she is already making motions to head back to her nest.

Turned on "Toy Story" to keep her occupied while I get ready for the morning. When I get a call from my son, asking that we not have pizza. He just got his medical results back, and is on the edge of high blood pressure. No more pizza, and would I bring something else. KFC to the rescue.

At lunch, Sweetie's table manners are deminishing. She uses the serving spoon in the mac and cheese to feed herself, and everyone else sees and lets it go. They understand that she is failing.

I had to change the hood struts on the car, and had asked if the oldest could help me. I thought a small lesson on changing these, would be an easy life lesson. It was and we got the job done quickly.

Plans were to go shopping after lunch, but Sweetie had different plans. She was worn out from lunch, so I took her home for a nap. It kinda screwed up the rest of the day, so, we adjust and make plans for the next day.

It was when we got home from my meeting, that we had our next difficulty. She went to bed, I stayed up and watch some TV. When I went to bed, she was on my side of the bed. I was able to get in, and we wresled all night long. She just wouldn't move over. I did get some sleep, not as much as I'd like to, but enough.

It seems that Driver chose a twisty, turning route this day. It just made the day go quickly bye. At the same time, we were able to Keep Our Shiny Side Up. C'ya, Luv Ya, and God Bless. Arthur.
